Full Photo 8
Oops! I guess I forgot to post the reveal! But here it is - the Casa de los Azulejos (The House of the Tiles) in Mexico City, taken c. 2003. Built in the 18th century as a private home for the Count del Valle de Orizaba, the home is presently a Sanborns department store. All this luxury stands in stark contrast to the destitution of the woman pictured here in the foreground.

Reveal No. 6
Drumroll please... it's an abandoned street car by the waterfront in Red Hook (Brooklyn).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Hook,_Brooklyn
The old red-brick industrial buildings along the waterfront in Red Hook make a fitting backdrop for the street car. Though many of this building type were abandoned when manufacturing left New York, a good number of them were reclaimed during the economic boom of the late 00's. This particular structure fared particularly well and is currently a high-end residential loft building with a Fairway supermarket at the ground story.
Thank you Ryan for letting me post this one!

Long-Awaited Post No. 6
For post number six, I am posting (most of) one of my favorite pictures from a guest contributor. See if you can figure out what and/or where this one is, before I post the reveal tomorrow!

Full Photo Number Five
There you have it - three orchids at the New York Botanical Gardens in the Bronx from the 2009 Orchid Show. They put on the Orchid Show annually, and I highly recommend it.
